About

EmaSwati for Change (EFC) is a nonprofit organization comprised of Swazis and allies primarily based in the United States, who are committed to advocating for political, social, and economic change in Swaziland. EFC was formed in 2021, following the massacre of Swazis by state security forces in the June 2021, as an effort to amplify the calls for democracy in Swaziland to the world.

Our work aims to promote justice in Swaziland through advocacy, outreach, accountability measures, transitional justice initiatives, and capacity building. We advocate for the transformation of Swaziland into a multi-party democratic state founded on the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights, with no restrictions on political participation. We seek collaboration with governments, organizations, and international entities that share our values in order to empower the Swazi people who are striving to liberate themselves from the absolute rule of King Mswati III. We are committed to pursuing justice and accountability for human rights violations in Swaziland.

"If you are persistent in what you want, if you insist on what you believe in, you are likely to get it no matter how difficult it may be, and no matter how much the price to pay"
